The MotoGP Free Practice One session at the Valencian Grand Prix has been delayed due to track conditions.
The opening MotoGP session of the weekend at the 2025 season finale has been delayed due to an incident in Moto2 Free Practice One.
It was expected that the MotoGP riders would be out on track on Friday morning at 10:45am Local Time / 9:45am (GMT). However, they will not be on track until Xam due to an incident and track conditions in the opening Moto2 session of the weekend.
Red Flags were waved in the opening minutes of the first Moto2 session at the Circuit Ricardo Tormo after Ayumu Sasaki and Adrian Huertas both went down at Turn Six.
At first, Race Direction declared the Red Flag was waved due to the incident between the Japanese and Spanish riders. However, it was later reclarified as the Red Flag being shown due to 'Track Conditions at Turn Six'.
Later, CCTV footage of the track was shown, and it was clarified that Huertas and Sasaki did not go down in the same incident. However, the 2024 World Supersport Champion, Huertas, went down in a big way after high-siding at Turn Six.
