Andrea Iannone has been declared fit for his home round at Misano

Team Pata GoEleven rider Andrea Iannone has been declared fit for this weekend's World Superbike Round in Misano.

Andrea Iannone was injured in a Free Practice One crash in the previous round at the Autodrom Most, high-siding at the final corner.

He was declared unfit with fractures to the third and fourth toes on his right foot. The #29 appeared at the recent test at Misano, wearing a right boot that was one size bigger than usual and trying out a rear thumb brake.

Ahead of the round, he underwent the mandatory medical check for riders declared unfit and was given the green light to ride at Misano.

In 2024, his rookie season in World Superbikes, Iannone was competitive at Misano as he finished inside the top five in one of the three races.

Thoughts of top-five finishes will not be on Iannone's mind as he returns from his injury, but points finishes will be crucial for the Italian after missing all three races at the Czech Republic World Superbike Round last time out.

Iannone dropped back in the World Superbike Championship after missing the races at the Autodrom Most; he now finds himself eighth in the standings, three points behind Xavi Vierge in seventh.
