Alvaro Bautista is back on top of the WorldSBK time sheets after a technical error in the opening race of the weekend yesterday stalled his progress.
With two races to come later today the reigning WorldSBK Champion has put himself in a good place as he takes top spot in the morning Warm Up session. Bautista finished tenth place yesterday in the opening race of the weekend, but his Aruba.it Racing - Ducati seems to be back to its best this morning.
Toprak Razgatlioglu took victory in yesterdays race after a battle with Michael Ruben Rinaldi for top spot. But this morning the Turkish rider started his day by taking second place in the Warm Up session.
Garrett Gerloff impressed many yesterday as he took pole position and then went on to finish fourth in the race. The Texan has continued his form into this morning as he starts his day with a third place in the opening session of the day.
Michael Ruben Rinaldi and Danilo Petrucci finished fourth and fifth place this morning. But yesterday in the races they put in great performances as Rinaldi finished second and Petrucci finished fifth.
Behind the duo of Italians this morning was a trio of British riders. Jonathan Rea, Scott Redding and Alex Lowes started the day with a sixth, seventh and eighth place respectively in the morning Warm Up session.
Two surprise performers throughout the whole weekend have been Loris Baz and Philipp Oettl. The French rider dropped back in yesterdays race as he finished 13th after qualifying sixth, but the German finished in ninth yesterday and rounded out the top ten this morning.
Bradley Ray and his Motoxracing Yamaha squad seem to have sorted their issues from the weekend as the British rider finished Warm Up in thirteenth place.
