Gold and Goose

Nicolo Bulega leads the World Supersport Championship and now leads the way after Day One at Magny-Cours.

After Valentin Debise topped the opening session at home in France the Italian rider and Ducati came back strong in the afternoon.

Nicolo Bulega and his Ducati Panigale V2 took back top spot this afternoon just like they did in World Superbikes. However, Valentin Debise continued his strong form as he finished second overall.

Stefano Manzi had a poor morning session but this afternoon the Italian improved as he made his way up to third in the order.

Two more Italian riders were behind Manzi as both Yari Montella and Raffaele de Rosa finished in fourth and sixth place on board their Ducati's.

Jorge Navarro put his Ten Kate Yamaha inside the top seven as he finished sixth overall only two tenths behind his team-mate.

Adrian Huertas continues as the top Kawasaki in WorldSSP as he finished seventh. Just behind the Spaniard was the top Triumph of Niki Tuuli who finished eighth place.

Federico Caricasulo finished ninth overall in the afternoon and Marcel Schrotter rounded out the top ten on his MV Agusta.
