Magny-Cours WorldSSP Superpole | Nicolo Bulega claims his seventh pole of the season

Gold and Goose

Nicolo Bulega claims his seventh pole position of the season at Magny-Cours after the six week summer break comes to an end.

Throughout the weekend it has been between Nicolo Bulega and Valentin Debise with both riders claiming top spot throughout the two Practice sessions so far through the weekend on Friday.

Both riders have points to prove this weekend, Bulega is chasing the Championship and Debise is a home hero and was chasing his first pole position at home.

Despite the home crowd willing Debise on he was unable to match the might of Bulega as he set a new all time lap record around Magny-Cours on his way to claim pole position.

Joining Bulega and Debise on the front row will be Raffaele de Rosa on board his Orelac Ducati. In the last few moments of the session de Rosa relegated Ten Kate's, Stefano Manzi, off of the front row back to fourth place.

Adrian Huertas continues to lead Kawasaki's WorldSSP charge, despite Can Oncu being back in action. The young Spaniard qualified in sixth place at the back of the second row, just ahead of the top Triumph and MV Agusta.

Niki Tuuli and Marcel Schroetter lead Triumph and MV Agusta's WorldSSP efforts as they qualified in seventh and eighth.

It was an up and down session for the British riders in the Superport class. Tom Booth-Amos qualified in 16th place with John McPhee in 18th place. However, Tarran Mackenzie could only qualify in 31st after seemingly suffering with some technical issues.
