Ahead of the 2026 World Supersport Championships, Yamaha Motor Europe and Evan Bros Racing have concluded their partnership.
After eight seasons together, Yamaha Motor Europe and Evan Bros Racing have decided to part ways ahead of the 2026 World Supersport Championship.
The Evan Bros Racing squad began working with Yamaha in 2018, and across the last eight years, they have claimed two World Supersport Championships with Andrea Locatelli in 2020 and Randy Krummenacher in 2019.
Most recently, the team competed in the 2025 World Supersport Championship with Can Oncu and Aldi Satya Mahendra. Oncu was the team's lead rider and ended the season in second place in the standings with six race wins and ten further podiums.
Originally, it was agreed between Yamaha Motor Europe and the Evan Bros Racing Team that they would continue together for the 2026 season, but a settlement was reached between the two teams and Yamaha Motor Europe, which has seen them part ways a year earlier than expected.
"Evan Bros Racing have achieved a vast amount of success with Yamaha in the Supersport World Championship," stated Andrea Dosoli, the Motorsport Division Manager at Yamaha Motor Europe.
"So we are disappointed to see them choose another direction for 2026, but happy that we have found an amicable settlement.
"This brings to an end a very successful eight-year partnership, and we must thank Fabio Evangelista and his team for all of their efforts in this time."
It is uncertain what the team or their riders from 2025 will do next year, but it has been reported that Oncu will continue on a Yamaha R9 in the Ten Kate Racing squad.
