MotoGP Buriram: Dixon rebuilding confidence in podium fight

Inde GasGas Aspar’s Jake Dixon heads to Thailand with a signed contract for 2023 and the Buriram Moto2 podium in his sights.

The second of four flyaway races returns to a track unfamiliar to the Brit, with only one appearance at the Chang International Circuit back in 2019 - in which he finished 19th - to draw on. But following his fourth place in Japan just four days ago, the 25-year-old is building on his confidence as he returns to fight for more.

“We race in Thailand after a good fourth position,” Dixon said ahead of preparations for round 17. “We are looking forward to racing in the dry at a circuit I don't know very well.

“I will really enjoy riding in Thailand because I like the country and its fans, and we will get our confidence back little by little to get close to the podium or the victory.”
