Halfway into the 2024 season Marc Marquez is still chasing his first Grand Prix victory with Ducati.
After ten races in the 2024 season it was expected that Marc Marquez would have his first victory with Ducati. However, after the halfway point in the season the eight-time World Champions quest for victory continues.
The Spaniards best result this season has been second place, but Marquez is still confident he will claim his maiden Ducati win in the second half of the season.
"We were very close in the first ten races to winning," Marquez said after the British Grand Prix. "But in the two circuits for me, Austin and Sachsenring, they were very difficult weekends, especially in Austin when I was leading with the brake problem.
"We stil have ten races, it is true we have three riders faster than us, that is the three riders riding the 2024 Ducati, they are super fast and they are also riding in a super good way. So we will try to do our best and keep enjoying this is the most important."

Reflecting on his weekend at Silverstone Marquez does not believe he did his best after crashing in the Sprint Race:
"I feel that I did not take the maximum, but it is true that the team did an incredible job all weekend. For some reason we started with our base [setup], but we were far from what we needed on this circuit.
"It was a great surprise in the race to be close to the top guys, especially to have the same pace in the first laps, this was the most positive thing. But in the last ten laps when I was stuck behind Aleix [Espargaro] for a few of laps when I overtook him I pushed, but I was thinking more about finishing the race than attacking."
