Augusto Fernandez continues to replace Miguel Oliveira in the Prima Pramac Yamaha Team at the Qatar Grand Prix.
For the second time in the 2025 MotoGP World Championship, Augusto Fernandez will compete for the Prima Pramac Yamaha Team.
The Spaniard signed as a Yamaha Factory Test Rider for the 2025 season after he lost his ride with KTM at the end of 2024.
With Miguel Oliveira being declared unfit for the Grand Prix of the Americas, Fernandez was drafted in to replace him.
During his return to the Grand Prix paddock, the Spaniard was able to score points after finishing 13th in the main race.
Fernandez now sits above Oliveira in the World Championship and will continue to replace him at this weekend's Qatar Grand Prix.
Ahead of his second Grand Prix weekend of the season, Fernandez wants to be back in the points at one of his favourite circuits.
"Once again, I want to send my best wishes to Miguel, it‘s a tough time for him, but I hope he recovers quickly and comes back stronger," Fernandez said.
"For me, it‘s great to have another race to keep working with the team. I was very happy with what we achieved in Austin, so getting back on the YZR-M1 right away and adding more kilometers is perfect.
"Lusail is a track I really like, so I‘m excited to get the weekend started and do my best for Yamaha and the Prima Pramac Yamaha team."
