Kyle Ryde 'got more confident' throughout the weekend at Snetterton

Kyle Ryde may have been unable to beat Bradley Ray, but two podiums helped move him up in the standings.

In a weekend where Bradley Ray seemed unstoppable, Kyle Ryde had a near-perfect weekend for his expectations.

The OMG Nitrous Competitions Racing rider finished second in Race One and Race Three, but was disappointed with a fourth place in Race Two.

"It was good, I felt like I was quick enough to come second like yesterday," Ryde said when asked about Race Two.

"I was in a dog fight, it was a 12-lap race, so everyone's tyres were pretty new. It was quite hard to pass Rory, and Tommy has been good in the last corner for the last couple of years.

"So, I knew that if I did not have a go at passing Rory, then Tommy would pass me. I gave it a go, I left it all out there, I just made a bit of a mistake, I was too fast in, and I just got a rubbish exit, and they both passed me before the line.

"I think the perfect weekend for me this weekend would have been three second places. But it was a shame to get that fourth, but in that final race, only being a second behind Brad over 16 laps, there were big improvements.

"The speed was almost half a second quicker for me over every lap. So, thanks to the guys for making my bike a lot better for the last one, and we have learnt a lot about myself and the bike."

"I can't even remember," he said when asked about what changes he had made.

"This morning, we put the wings on, mainly because of the wind. I was struggling a lot with wheelies, but that helped a lot in sector two, where Brad was a lot quicker than me.

"I just got more confident throughout the day. I knew it was in there. I told myself the bike was going to be good for the last race, and after a few laps, I wasn't getting gapped, so I thought I'm in here.

"I never managed to catch him up, but it was nice to put up a good fight. So, we are getting closer."
