For the first time in his MotoGP career, Marco Bezzecchi has featured on three Grand Prix podiums in a row.
At the Hungarian Grand Prix, Marco Bezzecchi found his way back onto the podium for the third Grand Prix in a row.
The Aprilia Racing rider led the Grand Prix around the Balaton Park Circuit in the early stages, but dropped back to third as the race progressed.
"I think this time the feeling was even worse than in Spielberg," Bezzecchi said regarding his up-and-down weekend at Balaton Park.
"Because in the end, having a new track, with not very good sensations, was not easy. But fortunately, I made a good comeback in Qualifying, which was the key comeback for my weekend.
"Starting from the front is always another kind of race. It was not easy yesterday [Saturday] because of the mess at the start, and my pace was not fast enough.
"So, I was really nervous at the start [of the Grand Prix]. Honestly, when I found myself in first after the first corner, I did not know what to do. I wanted to push, but I was not sure about my tyres, so I tried to save as much as I could.
"The drop of the rear tyre was massive, the problem was I needed to use the soft so I could stop better. Because when I was stopping, I was suffering a lot.
"So, it was difficult, but in the end we walked away with a fantastic podium, which was everything I could do."
Bezzecchi walked away from the Hungarian Grand Prix with his head held high, as he overcame a difficult start on Friday and turned it into a podium on the Sunday.
"In the end, I am happy, because these last two weekends we have been struggling on Friday," he explained.
"Normally, on Friday, when you do not start in the best way, and you are out of Q2, it is always difficult to bounce back, but we did it.
"So, now we are going to some very cool tracks. Especially, Misano, which is my home Grand Prix. So, I am very happy to reach this part of the season in this shape."
