Can Oncu topped the timesheets on Friday morning at what could be a crucial round for his World Supersport Championship challenge.

In the opening World Supersport session of the weekend, Championship challenger, Can Oncu, topped the timesheets in the Free Practice session for the Yamaha bLU cRU Evan Bros Team.

The Orelac Racing Verdnatura Ducati rider, Xavi Cardelus, was at the sharp end on the timesheets as the Andorran rider was at the top of the times until the latter moments and ended the morning in second.

Italian rider Alberto Surra continues to ride as a replacement in the Yamaha bLU cRU Evan Bros Team and was in third place at Estoril in Free Practice.

Ondrej Vostatek had a promising morning at the Circuito Estoril as he finished Free Practice in fourth place for the WRP Racing Ducati squad.

World Supersport rookie, Jaume Masia, was inside the top five in Free Practice as he ended up in fifth place on the Orelac Racing Verdnatura Ducati.

Federico Caricasulo was the fourth Ducati rider inside the top ten on Friday morning as he was in sixth place on the D34G Racing WorldSSP Team Ducati.

The current World Supersport Championship leader, Stefano Manzi, was not inside the top five in Free Practice as he ended up in seventh place.

The top Honda Racing World Supersport rider on Friday morning was the French rider, Corentin Perolari, who was in eighth place.

After securing his first World Supersport victory last time out at MotorLand Aragon, Valentin Debise was in ninth place in Free Practice at Estoril.

Completing the top ten was the sole QJMOTOR rider in the top ten, Raffaele de Rosa.

British riders, Tom Booth-Amos and Josh Whatley, missed out on the top ten in Free Practice. The PTR Triumph Factory Racing rider was in 11th place, and the MV Agusta Reparto Corse rider was in 27th.
