Lucas Mahias topped the World Supersport Free Practice timesheets on Friday morning at Circuito do Jerez.
In the opening World Supersport session of the weekend, Lucas Mahias topped the timesheets on Friday morning at the Circuito do Jerez for the GMT94 - Yamaha squad.
Valentin Debise has been in strong form in recent weeks and carried his form to Jerez as he ended the Free Practice session in second place for the Renzi Corse squad.
After missing out on the World Supersport title at Estoril, Can Oncu is now focused on ending the year with strong results and started his weekend in third place at Jerez.
The top MV Agusta rider in the opening session of the weekend was the MV Agusta Reparto Corse rider, Filippo Farioli, who was in fourth place.
Rounding out the top five at the end of Free Practice was the Feel Racing WorldSSP Team rider, Philipp Oettl.
Just outside of the top five was the Motozoo ME AIR Racing MV Agusta rider, Mattia Casadei, who ended the morning in sixth place.
The new 2025 World Supersport Champion, Stefano Manzi, arrived at the final weekend with no expectations and ended Free Practice in seventh place.
Two Ducati riders were in eighth and ninth place, with Federico Carcicasulo in eighth on the D34G Racing WorldSSP Team, and Jaume Masia in ninth on the Orelac Racing Verdnatura Ducati.
Completing the top ten was the QJMOTOR Factory Racing rider, Raffaele de Rosa.
