An update has been provided by CIP Green Power via social media about Noah Dettwiler's situation after a Sighting Lap incident.
On Sunday morning at the Malaysian Grand Prix, Noah Dettwiler was involved in an incident with Jose Antonio Rueda during the Moto3 Sighting Lap.
The Swiss and Spanish riders received medical attention trackside and were later airlifted to the hospital in Kuala Lumpur via helicopter to receive further medical attention.
Whilst the riders were receiving medical attention, the MotoGP Medical Director stated that both riders were conscious, but no further details were revealed at the time.
However, after the Malaysian Grand Prix wrapped up, Dettwiler's team, CIP Green Power, released a statement on social media regarding their riders' situation.
"This morning, during the sighting lap at Sepang, our rider Noah Dettwiler was involved in a serious accident. He was taken to the hospital in Kuala Lumpur and will need to undergo multiple surgeries.
"He is in good hands, and we kindly ask you to respect his privacy. We will not be sharing further details at this time.
"Noah is a true fighter, and the entire CIP Green Power team is right behind him. We will keep you updated as soon as possible."
An official update was also released by MotoGP about the 2025 Moto3 World Champion, Jose Antonio Rueda, during the Moto2 race at the Malaysian Grand Prix.
The update reads: "Moto3 rider #99 Rueda is awake and alert, with a suspected hand fracture and a number of contusions."
