The Prima Pramac Racing squad are hoping for a positive weekend in Miguel Oliveira's final Portuguese Grand Prix.

This weekend will be an emotional weekend for Miguel Oliveira as it will be his final Portuguese Grand Prix before he moves to World Superbikes in 2026.

The Portuguese rider will still be able to race in Portugal as a World Superbike rider next season at both Portimao and Estoril. But for now, this will be his final Grand Prix in his home nation.

Oliveira has had a difficult 2025 MotoGP season with the Prima Pramac Racing Yamaha squad as he finds himself 20th in the Championship standings with two rounds left of the season.

The Italian team are hopeful that they will be able to give Oliveira a 'result he'll remember' this weekend at Portimao.

"I‘m very emotional, because Portimão is a really special circuit for me, and racing at home always gives me that extra motivation to perform well," Oliveira said ahead of his final Portuguese Grand Prix.

"Knowing that this might be my last MotoGP race in front of my fans makes the weekend even more special. I want to do well, enjoy it, and make sure the team and all the fans enjoy it too. I can‘t wait to get started."

Prima Pramac Yamaha MotoGP Team Director, Gino Borsoi, added: "It‘s going to be an important weekend, especially for Miguel, as it will be his last race in front of his home fans in MotoGP.

"It‘s a track where he has already won, and looking at his recent performances with Yamaha, I‘m confident he can have a strong weekend — one that both he and his crew deserve. I‘d love to give him a result he‘ll remember forever."
