Maverick Vinales will return to racing next weekend for the Valencian Grand Prix after missing the last four Grands Prix.
After the Portuguese Grand Prix, the Red Bull KTM Tech3 squad have confirmed that Maverick Vinales will be back in action at the 2025 MotoGP season finale.
For the 2025 season, Vinales moved from Aprilia Racing to the Red Bull KTM Tech3 squad. After a positive start to the season with three top-five finishes in the first ten Grands Prix of the year.
However, at the German Grand Prix, Vinales dislocated his left shoulder in a crash in qualifying at the Sachsenring. Since picking up his shoulder injury, the Spaniard has participated in three Grands Prix and has missed eight Grands Prix.
The 30-year-old attempted to return to racing at the Portuguese Grand Prix, but did not pass medical tests last Monday, which left him on the sidelines.
But it has been confirmed by the French team that Vinales will be back in action next weekend at the Valencian Grand Prix, for the final round of the year and the post-season test.
A statement from the Red Bull KTM Tech3 squad on social media confirmed Vinales' return to racing:
"After missing the last three races to focus on shoulder recovery, Maverick ViƱales is finally ready to make his return to racing in Valencia this week for the last one of the season.
"Welcome back, Mav!"
During his time away from racing, the Red Bull KTM Tech3 squad called upon KTM Test Rider, Pol Espargaro. The 34-year-old completed in five Grands Prix and finished inside the top ten in four of the Grands Prix.
