Diogo Moreira was 'very happy' with his first day of riding the LCR Honda at the Valencia MotoGP Test.

The 2025 Moto2 World Champion, Diogo Moreira, made his official MotoGP debut at the Valencia Test with LCR Honda.

Moreira's first day on a MotoGP machine was centred around him adapting to his new machine, and he ended the one day of testing in 21st place, 1.325 seconds behind the top Honda, Joan Mir.

After two years in the Moto2 World Championship, the Brazilian rider was very impressed by the Honda RC213V and his experience with the LCR Honda squad.

"It was very impressive, the speed and the brakes are a lot different to Moto2," Moreira told MotoGP.com after his first MotoGP Test.

"I am very happy with my first contact and the team; they helped me a lot on this first day. So, I am very happy with this first day of testing, now we need to keep understanding the bike and enjoying."

He added, "The most impressive thing is the speed, when I open full throttle and go through the gears, it was a feeling I had never felt that in my life. It was a very positive first day, and we need to keep enjoying it."

The first day on a MotoGP machine is a learning curve for a MotoGP Rookie, and the 21-year-old spent the day understanding how to ride a MotoGP machine compared to a Moto2 machine.

"We understood many things on the bike, such as the different lines, and the pickup of the bike," he explained.

"We need to keep understanding these points and learning to ride the bike with the team. I need to keep learning in general, corner entrance, corner exit, but the team have helped me a lot."

Moreira will be back on track at the next MotoGP Test at the Sepang Shakedown next year on 29-31 January.
