Triumph announces Luke Stapleford replacement for 2026 BSB Supersport

Triumph

Triumph’s official BSB Supersport team has announced its two-rider line-up for the 2026 season.

Following the departure of Luke Stapleford from the Macadam Triumph team at the end of last year, the British manufacturer has captured 2022 British Supersport runner-up Brad Perie to lead its attack on the 2026 season.

Perie joins a team that has won races and finished runner-up in the BSB Supersport class with Stapleford, a past he says gives him motivation for the upcoming season.

“I’m excited to sign with Macadam Triumph Factory Racing,” said Perie.

“I’m looking forward to getting back on the British Supersport grid as it’s a class I’ve got some great memories from.

“The Triumph Street Triple 765 RS has consistently been at the forefront of the championship and a proven race winner in past seasons, which makes me even hungrier for success in 2026.

“I’m excited to start working with the team over winter and hit the ground running as best as possible ahead of Oulton Park. A big thanks to Dave and everyone at Triumph for the opportunity.”

Dave Wadsworth, Macadam Triumph team owner, added that Perie is a rider he is happy to have secured the services of.

“I’m delighted to have Bradley [Perie] join the Macadam Triumph Factory Racing team for the 2026 season,” he said.

“He’s a talent many have had their eye on over the years, and it’s nice to welcome him back. I’m eager to see how he progresses on the Triumph.

“The Street Triple 765cc will suit his style, so as a team, we’re really looking forward to getting going over winter and preparing for the first round in May.”

Perie will join Max Wadsworth in the Macadam Triumph team, Wadsworth now preparing for his third season with the team having secured a best result of sixth in the 2025 season at Cadwell Park.

Max Wadsworth added: “I’m really excited and thankful to Triumph and the entire team for the opportunity to line up for a third season aboard the Triumph Street Triple 765 RS.

“We had a mixed 2025 season but showed lots of promise with a strong weekend at Cadwell Park, so that’s where I’m aiming to build from and challenge for the best results possible.

“I’m looking forward to getting going over winter and preparing as best as possible for the opening round at Oulton Park in May.”
