2025’s second-best MotoGP team, Gresini Ducati, has launched its 2026 MotoGP season in an event in Malaysia.
Gresini headed to Kuala Lumpur for its launch event, revealing their new livery there ahead of the first official MotoGP test of 2026 at the Sepang International Circuit next on 3–5 February.
The Italian team’s second-place finish in the 2025 teams’ standings came after a fourth consecutive season in which the satellite Ducati team won a race. Since changing to Ducati machinery in 2022, the team has won a race every year.
In 2025, the wins came from both riders: three for Alex Marquez and one for rookie Fermin Aldeguer.
Aldeguer himself was absent from the launch in Malaysia as a result of the broken femur he picked up while training earlier in January. He’ll miss the test next week as well, and Aldeguer has one month to recover in time for the next test on 21–22 February and the opening round of the 2026 season on 27 February – 1 March, both of which take place at the Buriram International Circuit in Thailand.
Both riders stay on-board for the 2026 season, although both are out of contract at the end of the year. Considering their performances in 2025, both themselves and their seats will be highly desirable in the 2026 market.
As well as the riders, the livery is largely the same this year as last, with the team’s sky blue colour paired this time with black accents, and the betting company BK8 stays on for another year as title sponsor.
