Steve Kershaw is set to head back to the Isle of Man TT this summer for his second crash at the event.
The Sidecar driver made his debut at the famous TT road races in 2025 and will be back this year aboard with support from Express Tyres and Quattro Group, driving an LCR Honda.
38-year-old Kershaw is the only sidecar racer in British Championship history to win titles in the Formula 2 and Formula 2 Cup categories as well as the Formula 1 class using both 600cc and 1000cc engines, and set a best average lap speed on debut last year of 110.927mph – that coming in Race 2, after setting a 110.577mph lap in qualifying – with Rhys Gibbons as passenger.
Gibbons made his TT debut in 2024 as passenger to Alan Founds, his uncle, lapping in the 115mph bracket en route to a third-place finish.
The 23-year-old passenger will return as passenger to Kershaw this year to build on partnership established in 2025 when they scored a seventh-place finish together in Race 2.
“We are fully focused on TT 2026 and learnt a lot from last year,” said Kershaw.
“With some small modifications to the bike and the intriguing introduction of the restrictor plates, we’re determined to push for strong results this year, building on a solid performance in 2025.”
The 2025 Isle of Man TT races are due to take place between 25 May and 6 June, with Sidecar Races scheduled for 30 May and 3 June.
