Trackhouse Aprilia retains Raul Fernandez for MotoGP 2027

Gold and Goose

Raul Fernandez has renewed his contract with Trackhouse Aprilia to remain with the American-owned team in 2027.

Fernandez’s renewal is for two years, so will keep him with the satellite Aprilia squad until the end of the 2028 season, which will be his sixth with the team after joining from Tech3 KTM in 2023.

A one-time MotoGP race winner, Fernandez won his first Sprint this year at Mugello, a feat he repeated in the Netherlands, and has taken three grand prix podiums in 2026, including in the last two races.

“We at Trackhouse are thrilled to announce that Raul Fernandez will stay with the team for the next two seasons,” said Trackhouse Aprilia owner Justin Marks.

“Since the beginning of this team’s journey, Raul has been fully committed to our mission and objectives.

“He has grown as a rider both on the bike and with his preparation, approach, and maturity.

“We believe that this team and these bikes are poised to be a consistent championship threat in the years to come and that Raul can help carry us to great heights in this sport.”

The announcement of Fernandez’s renewal comes just ahead of the resumption of the MotoGP season at Silverstone this weekend (7–9 August), where Fernandez arrives lying sixth in the standings after 11 rounds.

Fernandez’s team-mate Ai Ogura currently sits second in the standings at present, but will leave Trackhouse for Yamaha at the end of the season. It’s anticipated that he will be replaced by Enea Bastianini at Trackhouse next season, although nothing is yet official.
