Former MotoGP star Sete Gibernau has finished the last of his three days testing with Ducati at Mugello with a fastest lap time just a shade under two seconds under the lap record.
The Spaniard put in a 1'51.78s circuit, which compares favourable to Casey Stoner's 1'50.003 from this year's race. It isn't known whether Gibernau will test again but he certainly enjoyed himself.
"This has been a really wonderful gift from Ducati!" said Gibernau "It has been a real pleasure to get back on a MotoGP bike and over the past couple of days I've had first hand experience of what a tough job Vitto has and realised just how good he is at it. Now I want to go home and reflect on how I feel about things. Then, together with Ducati, we'll see if want to arrange another test."
