MOTOGP INDY: EDWARDS SAYS HE ISN'T HAVING MUCH FUN

Tech3 Yamaha's Colin Edwards reckons that Michelin are pinning their Indy MotoGP hopes on a test the firm did with some Superbikes at the track last week - and admitted he isn't having a lot of fun at the moment.

At the pre-race press conference, the two-times World Superbike Champion said: "It's been a pain in the ass, really. The beginning of the season was a lot of fun. It was fun to be on the bike. Now it's not a lot of fun at the moment.

"The last few races have just been, cross your fingers, show up usually after Friday morning, you've run through three or four tyres, see if you're in the ballpark.

"We've been kind of in the parking lot of the ballpark, I think, at times. I know they've been doing some testing here, so we'll see what happens.  I think they tested here on a Superbike or something over the last week, and so they should have got some information out of that. If we're not in the ballpark, then we really have some issues. But hopefully they did their homework, and we'll have some stuff.

"At Laguna, we went out and did two corners and we were on the softest tire we had, and it was still way too hard, and I thought, "We're in trouble here." Hopefully we should be in the ballpark. Like I said, they have enough information over the last few tests they've done."
