It looks like Britain’s Neil Hodgson will be one of the only top names at this weekend’s Dunlop AMA tyre test at Daytona as Yoshimura Suzuki and Kawasaki will not be attending.
Suzuki America and AMA Pro Racing owners DMG still haven’t set aside their differences, with the manufacturer stating it’s too expensive to test in the current economic climate.
As far as we are aware, Kawasaki just aren’t going and Hodgson, who hasn’t officially got a team-mate next year but it is thought to be Jason Di Salvo, might be lapping with just Ben Bostrom and Josh Hayes on their Yamahas for company. There will also be a couple of Erion Hondas knocking about.
The Superbikes will be testing in the daylight while riders in the Daytona Sport Bike class are doing it under floodlights. Nuts to that.
