Two-time AMA Superbike Champion Josh Hayes has this morning been confirmed as replacement rider for the injured Colin Edwards at next weekend's Valencia MotoGP finale.

Hayes (36) was due to test the Monster Yamaha after the race weekend as a thank you from Yamaha but after The Texas Tornado damaged bone and cartilage on the crash that claimed the life of Marco Simoncelli, his debut has been brought forward a few days.
