Honda TT Legends leading light John McGuinness says is feeling positive after a good shakedown test at Magny-Cours yesterday left the squad only a couple of seconds off the factory teams' pace after two day's riding at the French circuit.
The multiple Isle of Man winner thinks he, Simon Andrews, Gary Johnson and Cameron Donald can now go back there for the opening World Endurance race of the season with high hopes of taking some Bol d'Or silverware away.
"There have been a few positive changes since last year’s Bol d’Or and we’re heading in the right direction. All four of us have done plenty of laps. Last year I was a bit nervous coming to this meeting, I didn’t know the track and I’d never done a 24-hour before but I’ve got a year under my belt now and it all feels like the norm. We’ll be back here in a couple of weeks for the race and hopefully we’ll be on it," said the Morecambe man.
