MotoGP Catalunya: 'Ninety per cent' Edwards returns to action

Forward NGM's Colin Edwards will return to MotoGP action at Catalunya this weekend but admits he isn't yet back to 100 per cent fitness following the surgery to bolt back together his broken collarbone.

Chris Vermuelen stood in for the Texan at Le Mans but Edwards is raring to get back on track even though he still has ten per cent of his recovery left to go following the crash at Estoril where he was nerfed off by Randy De Puniet's riderless Aprilia.

"I’m excited to come back, I’m probably not 100% yet. I was actually thinking of riding here at the boot camp this past weekend but decided to give it a rest for a few more days. I got the staples taken out last week. I I’ve been swimming a lot these last few days and it feels good, I have full movement and it doesn’t hurt. I would say I’m at about 90% right now. Looking forward to this weekend," said the former World Superbike Champion.
