MarcVDS Moto2 star Scott Redding goes into this weekend's Catalan MotoGP round full of confidence following his first podium in two years at Le Mans.
The Gloucestershire rider reckons that a good result in Spain this weekend will be perfect for the next run of five races in seven weekends and he is in good shape to mirror his last performance in France.
"Barcelona is the first of a five race run in just seven weekends, so it's important to start with a good result. With results comes confidence, as we saw in Le Mans, and that always makes things easier, especially when there's no gap between races," said Redding.
"I quite like the Montmeló circuit and, after the Navarra test and the Le Mans result, we know we head to Spain with a competitive package. The Spanish riders are going to be pushing hard in front of their home crowd, but I'm confident I can come away with a top five finish and maybe even challenge for the podium once again."
