Repsol Honda's Dani Pedrosa continues to lead the MotoGP pack, heading the wet second session from hometown hero Stefan Bradl, who jumped into second place with his final lap and knocking Jorge Lorenzo into third for good measure.
Bradl was less than a tenth off the Spaniard's time and was heading for top spot but just lost out vital hundredths in the last sector. Works Yamaha man Lorenzo was only two on-hundredths behind the German on a 1'32.237 with reigning champion Casey Stoner in fourth place and two-tenths further back.
Ducati's Valentino Rossi and Nicky Hayden are next along, three and four-tenths off the pace respectively while Britain's Cal Crutchlow was seventh and half a second in arrears. Andrea Dovizioso, on the second Monster Yamaha, in eighth with Ben Spies ninth and Hector Barbera tenth.
James Ellison topped the CRT times, finishing in 12th place overall just behind Alvaro Bautista while Aleix Espargaro recovered from his morning crash to take second with Mattia Pasini in third. Colin Edwards did eight laps and finished last, 11 seconds off the pace.
