MotoGP Mugello: Rossi looking to Audi for assurance over future

Valentino Rossi is looking for a firm assurance that Ducati will make big inroads to improving the performance of their MotoGP bike before he signs on the dotted line for a contract extension into next year.

The Doctor met briefly with the car firm's top brass at the Sachsenring but says that he needs to know for sure the bike is going to improve before he makes a decision on whether he will ride for them again next year.

"We have to speak more deeply but can be an option for the future. The problem is I have to trust that the situation improve in the future with the help of Audi we can fix the problem of the bike. I don't have any insurance about the future or if we are able to fix the problem of the bike because in one and half year and a half, we are not able. It depends on a lot of things," said the Italian, speaking to bikesportnews.com this evening.
