MotoGP Indy: Kent just pipped for Moto3 pole

Britain's Danny Kent was just pipped to Moto3 pole position by team-mate Sandro Cortese at Indianapolis when the German bagged top spot by less than a tenth of a second with his final lap of the red-flag interrupted session.

Kent led from half-distance with a 1'48.628 and was looking down the barrel of his debut pole but Cortese had other ideas, putting in a 1'48.545 and Kent had no time to respond as the session was stopped by race direction for the third time with only 23 seconds left to run.

Maverick Vinales complete the front row with Louis Salom, Zulfahmi Khairuddin and Alex Rins on row two. Danny Webb walked away from a big crash but Hector Faubel didn't and was taken to hospital after a big, last-corner highside left him with chest and back pains.
