Britain's Scott Redding is remaining cagey on where he put his signature for the 2014 MotoGP season but revealed he has one preferred option for next year.
The MarcVDS Moto2 rider has been strongly linked with a move to Gresini Honda on the production racer they will field next season but he is also in talks with Ducati, among others, to make the step up. He will make a decision before flying to Laguna Seca.
Redding stressed he was focused more on the job he needs to do at the Sachsenring and only giving time to his 2014 deal away from concentrating on the task in hand.
"I was in Belgium last week and we spoke about the options, just so I know. I have a preferred option but I am not going to talk about it. There is one at this moment," said Redding, speaking at the Sachsenring.
"I am thinking about it but I am here to do a job, to try and get on the podium this weekend. In the right moment's I am thinking and in the other moments, I am doing what I came here to do and doing it properly.
"I've got people relying on me and the difference between a good rider and great rider is the ability to block that out. Even when there is a lot of talk going on, we have to show we are strong."
