Aspar Aprilia MotoGP superstar Aleix Espargaro says he is in a delicate situation regarding his options for next year as a clause in his contract obliges him to remain where he is if he finishes the season as top CRT rider.
The Spaniard, whose brother Pol replaces Cal Crutchlow at Monster Yamaha, has been linked with a move to the new Forward Yamaha team and he is keen to move on to a 'better bike',
“We are going through difficult times. I would like to have a better bike for next year, but it is not easy. There is a clause in my contract which obliges me to stay if I end this year as the leading CRT. Obviously, I am a professional rider and I will continue in my attempt to finish first of the CRTs in every race, but it is not easy. It is a delicate situation," said the Spaniard.
