Injured British MotoGP star Scott Redding has slung his leg over the production Honda RCV1000R he will race for the Gresini team in 2014, doing a seven-lap shakedown run at Valencia early doors.

The Gloucestershire rider, who is still in a lot of pain from the Motegi crash, will race alongside Alvaro Bautista in the team on a bike that Casey Stoner managed to lap almost as fast as the works Repsol Honda in testing at Motegi.

This isn't Redding's first ride on a MotoGP bike as he tested a Ducati Desmosedici at Mugello last year.
