Rossi 'expects a lot' from 2014 Yamaha M1

Nine-time world champion Valentino Rossi has said he expects a lot from the 2014 Yamaha M1 ahead of the upcoming Sepang MotoGP tests and believes the package will get better as the season progresses.

The Italian, who says he will make a decision on whether to retire or not during the weekend of his home race at Mugello, says he wants to do better than he managed last season - a year that brought him a single win at Assen.

"The expectations for the coming season are very high. My target is to try and do better than last year, be more competitive and fight for the podium every weekend. I am sure our bike will be very competitive again," said The Doctor.

"It was already very good last year and Yamaha engineers were able to develop it further through the season therefore I expect a lot from my new M1 and I am sure it will get even better during the season."
