Former 500cc GP star and occasional Bikesport News columnist Keith Huewen reckons it is a dream come true to be part of the new BTSport MotoGP line-up as he is re-united with old Sky Sports sparring partner Julian Ryder.
Huewen has recently been involved in NASCAR, IndyCar and Speedway programmes for the satellite broadcaster but is now coming back to his first love of bike racing.
“It’s a dream come true to be back in MotoGP as part of the BT Sport MotoGP team. The timing is perfect as MotoGP looks forward to a new era and BT Sport aims to take coverage in the UK to another level over the next 5 years,” said Huewen.
“MotoGP is about excellence, there is no second best, and that’s how I approach my job. I’m an ex rider, acutely aware of the complexities of racing, and BT Sport have offered me the opportunity to add fresh perspective to coverage of the sport I love. “I’m delighted to work with Jules again. They say that ‘opposites attract’ and that could be said of this commentary team, you can expect verbal fireworks when the season kicks-off in March.”
