Jerez Moto2 test: Mystery tendon pain rules Lowes out

Speed Up’s Sam Lowes has been forced out of action on day two of Moto2 testing at Jerez after he woke up in agony with an inflamed tendon in his wrist.

Doctors at the Clinica Mobile have been treating the reigning World Supersport Champion but are currently at a loss for a reason as to why it has suddenly flared up. Lowes hopes to be back in action tomorrow.

“I had a small pain yesterday but woke up in agony this morning, unable to move my wrist very well. Doctors at the Clinica are doing their best to get me back out tomorrow but don’t know why it has flared up,” said Lowes, speaking to bikesportnews.com from Spain.

“Yesterday I felt really good on the bike with lots of consistent, fast laps so we were happy enough but there is still a lot to be done.”
