Go&Fun Honda team boss Fausto Gresini has given his number one MotoGP rider Alvaro Bautista another public poke ahead of this weekend’s Jerez round.
The former world champion is clearly dis-chuffed with the little Spaniard’s failure to finish the first three races of the season and has taken to calling him ‘Bautista’ while team-mate Scott Redding, who is a class rookie but has 11 points, remains ‘Scott’.
“So far, Bautista had three withdrawals in as many races: to have zero points in the standings is certainly not the best situation to begin with high spirits the intense European races period of the championship, but we hope that coming back to Europe will bring us some luck and can reverse the negative trend: we can do it and we absolutely need it,” said Gresini, probably through gritted teeth…
