Wrist problem ‘nothing serious’ for Hayden

Drive M7 Honda’s Nicky Hayden has undergone an MRI scan on his troublesome wrist and doctors in California concurred with the Clinca Mobile and have ruled out any serious problem.

The former MotoGP world champion was prevented from riding in Jerez test last Monday after his wrist swelled up and became painful.

“Basically the doctors here in California agreed with the doctors from Clinica Mobile and after doing some MRI and scans it is nothing so serious. Seems that I just irritated the joint somehow during qualifying, though it is not clear how that caused the inflammation in the joint which caused pain and swelling of the hand,” said Hayden.

“They did some treatment and injections to calm it down and now it is matter of doing therapy and rest to let it heal for Le Mans. We hope it returns back to normal very soon. I’m ok back home doing therapy and trying to prepare for Le Mans.”
