MotoGP Mugello: Lowes bags Moto2 debut front row

Speed Up's Sam Lowes has taken his first ever Moto2 front row ahed of tomorrow's races at the Mugello round of MotoGP after using a new rear shock setting in today's qualifying session.

"It's a good day for me and a good day for my team as they are Italian so it's good to get this front row. They brought a new seat unit this weekend which immedidiately felt nice on the bike so hopefully tomorrow we can have a good race," said Lowes, speaking at Mugello.

"All weekend we have been fast and this morning we worked on pace with old tyres. This afternoon we had a new shock setting, we put the new tyre in and we were away."
