Movistar Yamaha’s Valentino Rossi isn’t a huge fan of this weekend’s Indianapolis MotoGP round and believes it is the start of a string of difficult tracks for him and the factory YZR-M1.
So far this year, he has stood on the podium five times but that first win has so far eluded him. In America last year, he was fourth and remained in the same place at the next four races before Dani Pedrosa’s crash at Aragon promoted him into third place.
“The upcoming races will not be easy because we will now arrive at tracks that are difficult for me. Indianapolis is not my favourite track, but they changed the layout and the asphalt a little bit, so we have to see. We hope to be competitive there and to be competitive for all the second part of the season,” said Rossi.
