Aleix Espargaro has stated that sealing a deal to switch to the Suzuki MotoGP team next year is his first priority and the two parties only have some details to iron out before he puts pen to paper.

Espargaro has made no secret that it has been his aim to get into a factory team for the 2015 season and says he expects the deal to be complete in the next couple of weeks.

“We are working on it. My priority is to join Suzuki next year but it is not fixed yet. I hope it will be done in the next weeks. We need to keep working with Forward Yamaha to stay in the top six and try to overtake Andrea (Dovizioso) in the championship so we will see in the second part of the season,” said Espargaro, speaking at Indianapolis.
