Former MotoGP rider Jeremy McWilliams will make a comeback to the premier series paddock at next weekend’s Silverstone round when he rides the Bennetts-backed Brough Superior Moto2 bike.
The Irishman will replace Luke Mossey on the bike, which he tested yesterday at Mallory Park. The bike has also been evaluated by fellow old-stager Mike Edwards at Cadwell Park.
McWilliams, now 50, has never stopped racing and recently turned his hand to road racing with a podium at the North West 200 while also heaving some heavy iron around at the Indianapolis MotoGP round, racing Harley-Davidsons. He also is hyper-competitive at the Phillip Island Classic and Goodwood Revival races. He is also team manager for the Radedays Honda squad in European Superstock.
