Ducati to test Desmosedici GP14.2 ahead of MotoGP Aragon

Ducati will test the next evolution of their MotoGP Desmosedici at Mugello ahead of the Aragon MotoGP round and if it goes well, Andreas Dovizioso and Iannone will take the bike to the Spanish round but it will not be available to the departing Cal Crutchlow.

Both the Andreas will test the bike next Tuesday while Hector Barbera, whose Avintia team will switch to Ducati power next year, will ride a version of the GP14 with Open class electronic software.

Avintia signed their deal to use the GP14 package at Misano and they will get Ducati support with technicians in the garage but it will not be at the level enjoyed by satellite team Pramac, who are still undecided on their second rider for next season. Incumbent Yonny Hernandez will ride a GP14.2 but with Ducati software.
