Marquez to change strategy after MotoGP Aragon

Reigning MotoGP World Champion Marc Marquez has vowed to change his win-everything strategy after the Aragon MotoGP round in order to make sure of claiming a second successive title in 2015.

The Repsol Honda man, who crashed in Sunday’s Misano round leaving Valentino Rossi to take an unchallenged fairytale win, says that after his home round next weekend, he will ride more conservatively.

“My mentality was to fight for the victory every race and I didn’t want to manage the advantage with other positions. I took the risk and tried to follow Valentino. I went out really aggressively and tried to push but now maybe is the time to change that mentality,” said Marquez.

“Aragon will be the exception, as it is my home race but other races I will try to take points for the championship.”
