Aspar Ducati’s Eugene Laverty will miss the rest of the Sepang MotoGP test and probably the subsequent Phillip Island test after breaking his right hand in a crash at the Malaysian circuit today.
Laverty went down at turn four when the throttle on his GP14.2 stuck open for the second time today but he didn’t manage to stay upright in the second incident. The Toomebridge man has been taken to a local hospital for checks.
