Movistar Yamaha’s Valentino Rossi will use the new chassis and swingarm he debuted at the Brno test during tomorrow’s opening MotoGP free practice session at Silverstone.
Rossi is keen to see if the braking stability brought by the new parts will translate to tracks other than Brno so will make some exits tomorrow morning to begin evaluations at the Northamptonshire circuit.
“The Monday test in Brno for me was very positive. I felt good with the bike and had good pace, and I also enjoyed. We had some new stuff, a different swingarm and a different chassis, and in Brno I had a good feeling but we need to confirm tomorrow, so we will try tomorrow and try during the practice to understand if the reality is also better in Silverstone,” said Rossi, speaking at the track today.
Team-mate Jorge Lorenzo will not use the chassis as he had already rejected an earlier version and this one is a further step in the wrong direction, he said after the Brno test.
