Maverick Vinales believes he has a good chance of making it two in a row when today’s MotoGP race gets underway in Misano.
Just a week on since taking his maiden MotoGP win at Silverstone, the Ecstar Suzuki rider has his eyes on more silverware this weekend;
Vinales qualified third for tomorrow’s race, behind the Movistar Yamahas of Jorge Lorenzo and Valentino Rossi, and believes his front row grid spot puts him in the perfect place.
"For sure, I’m happy to be on the first row and it's also really important for tomorrow because this track is really difficult to overtake and it's important to be there from the first lap. I was feeling really good on the pace” he said.
“In my best lap time maybe I could do a little bit better, but I am so happy because the bike is working good. Today was really high temperature and we were competitive so it means that we improved a lot in these conditions.
"Since Brno we did a good step on the high conditions and today you have the result. In FP4 we were riding with really old tyres and I was feeling really constant and really good in the qualifying also, so for tomorrow I think we have a good chance. We will try the best and take the best we can from the Suzuki."
