Driving a Formula 1 car is the dream of many and the privilege of very few. Jorge Lorenzo will finally realise his dream on Sunday at Silverstone, when he will get the opportunity to pilot the Mercedes W05, the jewel of technology with which Lewis Hamilton claimed the world title in 2014.
It’s not the first time that the Yamaha rider switch to four wheels. In 2010 he competed the 500km endurance event of Alcaniz in Aragon, Spain with an Abarth 500. In 2014 he took a class win on his Ferrari GT debut in the Gulf 12 Hours of Abu Dhabi.
After his test, Lorenzo will fly to Japan for a bigger challenge, trying to break Marc Marquez’s supremacy and win the internal fight with his team mate Valentino Rossi for the second position in the world standing, starting from the Japanese Grand Prix at Motegi.
