Outgoing MotoGP World Champion Jorge Lorenzo was pleased to see his 2017 Ducati team-mate Andrea Dovizioso take victory in the Sepang race as it bodes well for his future.
The Spaniard, who claimed a podium in the race, will move to the Bologna factory next season and is happy the Desmosedici has been able to take two wins so far in 2016.
"Obviously the Ducati is progressing every year, being competitive more times in more tracks than the past, so that's a good sign. This victory doesn't surprise me, because Andrea has always been one of the best rain riders, and even when it was not competitive in the dry, the Ducati was in the wet,” said Lorenzo.
"So finally, this combination works very well today. And he and they deserve the victory. For sure, it's a good sign to see every time more Ducatis in the front at most of the tracks."
